What is The Castle?
The Castle is a 1500 square meter workspace in a palace in Central Stockholm. It's shared by more than 270 freelancers, entrepreneurs, artists, academics, grandmothers and other kinds of people who believe a workspace can be more than just a regular office.
On our five different styled floors - one with original 300 year old decor - everyday life and work is mixed with playfulness, building friendships and sharing our passions with one another.
Our culture is built on participation and “Both and”: Participation in the meaning that we as members create the place by sharing what we love. This could be anything from giving someone a warm hug to hosting yoga classes, jamming in our music room, helping each other with contacts and clients, starting the runners’ club, meditate, etc. “Both and” is the foundation of our philosophy that both one and the other side of things should be warmly welcomed in our culture: Introverts and extroverts, happy and sad, suits and sequins, young and old. It’s the mix that makes the magic.
